With no distinguishable feature than the Audi R8 except for a soft top, the Spyder manages to stand out and provides value for money when compared to Lamborghini and Ferrari products. With a top speed of 313 kph and a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 4.1 this car is no less than most of the supercars in its segment. India Bound 2012 Honda Civic Leaked Pictures Posted: 26 Mar 2011 08:00 AM PDT The not so appealing new 2012 Honda Civic was recently showcased at the 2011 Detroit Motor Show in both two door and four door versions and the new radical styling failed to make our jaws drop the way the existing Honda Civic did at the time it was launched. The pictures of the new model have shown a number of improvements and changes on the exterior including some which were undesired. But at the end of the day we should not lose hope as Honda has definitely put in all its effort and the new product will be special in a way. What draws our interest now are the latest pictures of India bound or we can say the Asian model of the same.
The above picture of 2012 Civic shows the readied version of it for a nearby launch and expectedly it is be same we will get here in India as well. Technologically the car may not be much distinguishable but the design has shown some drastic changes as now the car's face resembles the Honda City along with a grille derived from the Honda Civic Hybrid. In all probability the new civic bound for India will sport a 1.8 Liter MPFI petrol engine of the 1.8 Liter and 2.0 Liter options available in other markets, and will be reworked to deliver more torque and provide better driving experience. Another disappointment comes from the engine side with no CRDI diesel engine options on the cars as yet. Handling has been another problem for this sedan, rendering it with less stability at appreciable speeds and with the new model it needs to be seen whether the company has worked on it or not. Like all of you readers we also await the launch of this special car which is expected in the next few months. Volkswagen Vento and Maruti SX4 Hit Honda City Sales Posted: 26 Mar 2011 01:21 AM PDT Maruti Suzuki has recently launched its Maruti SX4 Diesel at a very competitive price. Also the Volkswagen Vento sedan launched by Volkswagen last year is available in both diesel and petrol variants. With the choice of a Diesel engine and interiors like Vento, the established segment high-selling Honda City is taking a hit. The sales of Volkswagen Vento almost equal the sales of Honda city in past month of Feb 2011. Also the sales of SX4 are rising sharply after the CRDI Diesel Engine option launched by Maruti with 1.3 Litre Diesel engine. Honda City still holds a good position in terms of volumes of sales, but with the Diesel option missing, there is bound to be some sales loss with the customers who prefer diesel sedans with the similar lever of features and comfort offered by Volkswagen and Maruti. Although Honda is working on Diesel Variants of Honda Accord and Honda CRV, but there is a need of Diesel option for Honda City as well which might lag behind in sales because of the missing diesel option.
