2012 BMW 6 Series Coupe Packs More Thrust, Less Thirst [w/ Videos] Posted: 14 Mar 2011 07:48 AM PDT
BMW has had a rather star-crossed history in the premium coupe segment. The E9-body 3.0CS and the original E24 6 Series were taut, relatively light GTs with serious racing pedigree, but the E31 8 Series went down the high-tech, high-dollar and, regrettably, high-fat road. But when the time came to replace the 8er, BMW made the decision to revive the 6 Series moniker for the E63 chassis (Convertibles were designated E64).
Now the third generation 6 Series (codenamed F12 for coupes, F13 for ragtops) has arrived, wearing more subdued sheetmetal that eschews its predecessor's Bangle Butt (or, more accurately, van Hooydonk Badonk-a-donk). But the new 6er coupe's beauty is far more than skin deep.

HAMANN Tycoon EVO M - Juiced Up BMW X6 M Gets New Guise For Geneva Motor Show Posted: 13 Mar 2011 07:13 AM PDT
The HAMANN Tycoon Evo M debuted last year at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show as a super duper hyped-up version of the BMW X6 M. The shocker was the fact that HAMANN managed to boost the engine output to 670hp allowing the 4WD vehicle to hit 62mph from a standstill in just 4.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of 186 mph. The heavily tuned Sports Activity Vehicle has retained much of its original form along with some new carbon bits, a fresh paint job and some far out guts for 2011.
For this year's Geneva Motor Show, HAMANN outfitted the X6 M with a new carbon fiber hood, roof rack, lower front spoiler, rear window spoiler, rear wing, rear diffuser and rear tail lights covers. In addition, the exterior gets shellacked in matte black paint.
