Toyota seems to have penetrated the sedan segment very forcefully with the very affordable Toyota Etios and the car has been successful enough to distract the sales of many of the market rulers. The company had been facing a hard time because of the natural calamity which occurred in Japan but now the Indian plants have resumed the full production levels. With no surprise the Toyota Etios Liva hatchback has already been scheduled for the coming 27th June 2011 and this new model will surely bring a lot more competition than expected in the small car segment. All this has already been in news for a while and nothing is quite striking but the latest buzz says that Toyota is soon going to roll in the diesel variants of both the Etios models. Delhi roads are getting more and more crowded everyday making driving on Delhi roads a pain. Adding to that is the immense heat and unruly driving style on Delhi roads. With Delhi Metro rail project, the situation has majorly improved, but still Delhi traffic is far from comfortable. Public transport may get some relief for common people. Delhi Metro does cover a large part of Delhi but still there are many areas of Delhi which don't have Metro service right now and rely on private transport, cabs, and DTC buses. LML has launched the 2011 new model of its scooter LML Select with a 4 stroke engine in Delhi and NCR region. The new scooter comes with a 150CC air cooled engine which produces 8.7 BHP of maximum power at 6200 RPM and churns out about 11.3 Nm of torque at 4250 RPM. It has a petrol tank with 5.5 Litres capacity with 1 Litre for reserve. The LML Select 2011 is available in both Kick-start as well as electric start variant. The Kick Start variant is priced at Rs. 47140 Ex-showroom Delhi while the electric start variant is available for Rs. 50978 Ex-showroom Delhi. Renault has revealed the official pictures of its upcoming Indian SUV Renault Duster. The earlier versions of Duster were branded with Dacia branding, but the one to be launched in India will be called Renault Duster only. The facilitated Duster 2012 which will be coming to India in 2012 will be a RHD model with a sporty design and power packed offer to compete with the other small SUVs in India. The front grille has a large Renault logo with three large chrome strips running between the headlamps. Chevrolet Beat diesel has ben spotted over and over again on the roads of India doing rounds of testing before its launch in July 2011. The covers over the beat have been officially taken off with NDTV India have already tested the new Chevrolet Beat Diesel at the General Motors Talegaon Plant in Maharashtra. The new Beat Diesel seems quite promising as per the NDTV's review. The new beat diesel engine details were already out sometime back when Chevrolet India announced the new 1 Litre Diesel Engine in an official press release. This 1 Litre engine is basically a cut down 3 Cylinder version of the 1.3 Litre 4 cylinder multi-jet engine by Fiat. The Beat Diesel engine produces a max of 150 Nm of Torque at 1750 RPM which is massive for a small sized city car. The power may not seem too high at slightly below 60 BHP, but the high torque gives the desired punch the driver wants from a small car.
