Vespa is a well recognized scooter brand in the world and is going to make its comeback in India. Earlier, there were some two stroke scooters in India with LML Vespa Branding under a joint venture which ended in the year 1999. After which the LML scooters has also kind of diminished from the Indian roads. Piaggio own the brand Vespa and its going to launch its own Vespa Branded scooter in India with 4 stroke engine. The first product from Vespa to be launched in India is Vespa LX 125 – (See complete details of Vespa LX125 here) which may make its debut in India very soon as Piaggio has already started its effort to develop dealerships for Vespa brand in India. On the official website of Piaggio India, they have invited perspective dealers to contact them to set up dealerships in India. In India motorsports isn’t much developed as in other countries but it is on the track of evolvement. When it comes to motorsports in India the first thing that crosses your mind is rally racing. Some of the most prestigious ones include Raid de Himalayas, Desert Storm Rally, Dakshin Dare Rally etc. People are too obsessed with rally racing and love this sport more than Formula 1. Talking about rally racing Tata Motors has seen a marvelous year as a few months back it bagged the Desert Storm Rally 2011 title and now it conquers the Dakshin Dare Rally 2011 terrain. With another victory this year, Tata's determination and hard work has been paid off. The Full Throttle team started off the rally with a team of off-roaders which included two Tata Xenon XT and Tata Safari and Tata Indica Vista 90. Coming to the rally, it started on 13th June 2011 from Sri Perumbudur in Chennai and ended on June 17, 2011 in Bangalore. Fiat India To Plan Its Strategies Again On Dealerships In India

Fiat India has been facing a hard time in the market mainly because of two reasons. Firstly the lagging sales and secondly the not so pleasing venture with the India major Tata Motors. As far as the sales are concerned its up to Fiat how it could handle this problem and get maximum units out of its plant, delivered to the customers. The other problem has been addressed by Mr. Ratan Tata lately when he called for a reexamination of the current joint venture as several serious problems were surfacing like unsatisfactory treatment of Fiat cars at the service centers and less number of Fiat models on display in showrooms. In order to sort these issues out Fiat is finally considering bringing newer models to the Indian automobile market and will also redefine its distribution strategy. The Italian major even called Fiat Spa officials to India to help them build new strategies so to bring the brand to the list of market leaders which it actually deserves. Renault Koleos 2011 New Model Compact SUV In India Will Compete With Honda CRV and BMW X1

Renault has revealed the all new Renault Koleos 2011 at a press event in New Delhi where it briefed about its Future Roadmap in India till 2012. Renault has already lunched its Renault Fluence Sedan in India in May 2011 and will be launching its compact SUV Renault Koleos In India in October 2011 around the Diwali Festival season in India. The 2011 new model of Koleos will be powered by a powerful 2 Litre CRDI Diesel engine with a max power of about 150 BHP. The Koleos will come with a 6 speed Manual transmission and will be assembled in India. It will be imported as CKD unit with local assembly plant in Chennai India. The Koleos will compete with popular compact SUVs in India like the BMW X1, Honda CRV, Toyota Fortuner etc. The pricing of Koleos is not announced as of now, but we expect it to be priced around Rs. 20 Lakh. Renault Fluence Registers Impressive Sales In One Month Of Launch

Renault has just started in India as an independent car brand with its sedan Renault Fluence which has been launch in May 2011 in India. In one month of its official launch in India, Renault has sold over 250 units which is an encouraging number for a new launch in India. The major competitors for Fluence have been Chevrolet Cruze, Toyota Corolla Altis, Skoda Laura and Honda Civic Sedan. With sales of Fluence at 250 cars, it has come quite considerable in numbers if compared to the sales of the competitors. The Fluence has already sold in more numbers compared to the Honda Civic while it is yet at half or less than half the number of sales compared to the segment leaders like Chevy Cruze and Skoda Laura. The refreshed Corolla Altis 2011 will also be a big competition to Fluence in the coming months. Honda City New Face-Lifted Model Launch In India Possible

Honda City, which ruled the market for a decade is now in need to have a fresh interior, exteriors and most importantly the diesel model to stand back in the race of its segment leaders. Honda SIEL has plans to launch the face-lifted version of Honda City Sedan in India with the ultimate aim of boosting its sales but there is no timeline or official info about launch available as of now. Honda has already cut the prices of Honda City recently. A concept of the next generation City was displayed at the 2008 Australian International Motor Show in Sydney. The new face-lift model is expected to be inspired with the concept model. The face-lift model of Honda City is expected to have a new set of front and rear bumper, new alloys, modified grille and new head and tail lamps where there is going to be some minor design tweaks in the headlights while the taillights could get an LED treatment. In an official press release, Toyota India today informed the media that it has successfully delivered about 20,000 Toyota Etios Sedans and the launch of its hatchback Toyota Etios Liva is on track. With aggressive efforts of Toyota India, the waiting time for the Etios sedan has some down to less than one month. The Etios Liva will be launched in New Delhi, India on 27th June 2011. The Toyota Etios Liva will be a high value for money car just like its sedan version Etios. Bengal Government Takes Back Singur Land Possession From Tata- HC Rejects Tata’s Plea

After Mamata Banerjee has come into power as Chief Minister of Bengal, she has passed a legislation in the state Govt. to get the land from Tata in Singur back to the state and then give back the land to the farmers. Mamata was the key leader in the protest against Tata's plant in Singur Bengal, at that time, she was not in power but still she manages to move Tata Nano project out of Bengal with constant protest of the people against the land acquisition. On 21st June Tuesday night, Bengal police has taken over the possession of the land from the Tata and have pasted a copy of the new legislation at the plant's gate. Tata has appealed to the Kolkata High court on 22nd June Wednesday morning against this action but court has rejected Tata Motor's appeal to intervene in this case. Court has directed Tata's lawyer to serve a notice to the Government of Bengal to present their side of the case. Mahindra Xylo Mini Spy-shots Reveal Interior, Exterior and Engine Details

Recently IAB has shared some detailed Spy Pictures of Mahindra Xylo Mini which is the upcoming mini-version of the MPV Mahindra Xylo from Mahindra and Mahindra. Mahindra Xylo has been quite popular with people with commuting needs for large families with luggage. Its no surprise that many cabs for long route use this car for its comfort and fuel economy. The Xylo mini is a smaller car with the same level of comfort but smaller on seating as it can seat 5 Adults plus 2 children as two small seats at the rear. From the images, it is evident that it's a 5 seater car with additional seating capacity of two children at the rear. The rear seats are foldable if pulled upward to make space for additional luggage. Other features include a start stop button, an LCD Display integrated with the dashboard console. There are no rear AC vents, there is an arm rest at the front seats. The AC vents on the dashboard are pretty large for good air flow and quick cooling.
